It also seeks to introduce a new line of products, enabling increased production capacity, an enhanced product range and expansion into new market segments.<\/p>\n The project also focuses on the development of innovative functional pet food formulations incorporating natural ingredients with bioactive properties that promote gastrointestinal health and animal well-being. In partnership with the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Animal Health (CIISA) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lisbon (FMV-ULisboa), the project will conduct digestibility and microbiome trials, as well as assess the impact of the new diet on the ability to digest nutrients, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.<\/p>\n Through this project, OVG expects to achieve approximately 23% growth in Gross Production Value (GPV) and Gross Value Added (GVA) between 2024 and 2029.
